Seeing Red?

We all have imperfections that seem, to us, like the worst things ever but others barely notice them. Every one of us has at least one insecurity, whether that's our weight, spots or the shape of our nose. Basically, we tend to make mountains out of molehills out of these imperfections.

I, too, have a very minor insecurity although it seems like a huge thing. I am very paranoid about my skin. I get very red. I'm red anyway but I used blush quite easily. Thankfully I have managed to get the blushing under control.

It may be a small case of rosacea or something else entirely. All I know for sure is that it has been here for the last few years and it isn't giving up without a fight. I began to wonder if wearing makeup was affecting it. Looking at old pictures now, though, I realise that it's been around for quite a while.

Enough background talk. Last year I discovered a primer from No7 that counteracts my redness wonderfully. It is the No7 Colour Calming Primer. It neutralises and conceals the redness and does the primary job of a primer.

This is green so don't panic when you first see it. The green is meant to counteract the red, giving you a perfect base for your makeup

If I remember correctly this cost around €30. But there's so much in the tube that it will last you a lifetime. I recommend this to anyone and everyone who is uncomfortable with red skin.

If you try this out, let me know how it went! Enjoy your day! Wherever you are, it's probably better than the lashing rain we have here in Dublin...

October Beauty Favourites!

I suppose you could say that this blogpost is a bit early. I know that we are still in October but there are so many amazing beauty products that I have been using and loving. I've made a list of my very favourite things and that's what I'll be talking about today.

We'll start off with makeup or lips to be more specific. I bought the Soap and Glory Super Colour FabuLipstick in Blush Pink a couple of months ago. I didn't really like it and didn't use it for a while but recently it's been my most used lipstick. Its a subtle darker-than-nude shade that compliments my pale complexion really nicely. It's a matte lipstick but is far from drying. Infact this is quite moisturising for the lips! I wear this almost every day and I think it is a perfect Autumn/Winter lip colour!

Next, onto cheeks! About a week ago I was in Penneys (Irish Primark) picking up a few bits and pieces for my Halloween costume when I stumbled upon the Wet n Wild  blush in Mellow Wine. Once again I would recommend it for people, like me, who have a ghost like complexion. This is a really flattering colour for pale gals in particular. It only costs a couple of Euros and already I have gotten so much use out of it.

Now, I want to talk about an eyeshadow I recently got from Natural Collection. It's in the shade Crushed Walnut which is a dark brown perfect for using for your crease or eyebrows. It comes in a single pot form and costs €2.49. How can you go wrong? This isn't the longest wearing eyeshadow out there but I have been using it so much over the last week since I bought it that I couldn't not include it. I wear it in my crease on its own if I'm feeling really lazy on days like today! It is a really gorgeous colour that I would recommend to anyone.

This has been a really quick, to-the-point blogpost . These are my most used products of this month and I'll be sure to let you know when something new comes along. Enjoy this Autumn evening.

Bis spater (German for until later!)
