Delicious Mixed Berry Smoothie

You know how much I like experimenting with this blog, so today i have decided to dip my toe into the world of smoothie making!

I love berries and over time I have perfected my famous "Mixed Berry Smoothie".

I think this stuff is just the bees knees but today you can try it out for yourself and see if you agree.

You Will Need:

and a blender.

  1. Wash and chop the berries and banana.
  2. Scoop four dessert spoons of natural yoghurt into the blender.
  3. Empty the fruit into the blender and add milk until the fruit is fully submerged.
  4. Put on the lid and turn on the blender.

All that's left is to pour it into a glass, and enjoy!

I could have blended this for a minute longer because it was a bit lumpy...

Thanks for reading!
If you did make this smoothie please let me know if you liked it!

Now let me drink some of this.

Things I Learnt At The Gaeltacht 2015

Like most Irish adolescents, this year I was forced by my mother to an Irish course.
For those of you who do not know, a Gaeltacht, in this context, is an Irish speaking summer camp. Usually you travel to the isolated depths of the country but you can also just do local courses.  I did a local course this year. There are parts of the country where people speak Irish as their first language called Gaeltachts also (e.g. Connemara)
I learnt some things while at Irish camp:
Disclaimer: I did learn Irish too but these life values are relevant to people around the globe.
1) Don't leave your laces untied a chéilí*.
2) Don't wear thin-soled shoes when playing sport on the astro pitch on a sunny day. Your feet will be fried.
3) If you give your water to someone with sunstroke, don't expect it back.
4) Nose bleeds and cut lips don't make great first impressions.
5) I'm really accident prone. I mean 3 nose bleeds in two weeks?...
6) Suncream is your best friend for the duration of this camp.
7) Don't allow people to make you jealous because they have a silver medal and you have nothing. Sometimes they're just waiting to award your gold medal (need a tissue, Aoife?).
8) Don't lose your gold medal because your mum won't believe that you got one.
9) Match your enthusiasm at the chéilí with that of your partner.
10) People who are polite aren't as well rewarded as people who are straightforward. Just ask for a wristband.
11) Compliment people, (or just smile at them) and you will make friends instantly!
12) Enjoy it as much as possible. You only get out of the camp what you put in so déan iarracht! **
* a  chéilí  is like a big disco but instead we do Irish dancing and dance to traditional Irish music.
** déan iarracht means make effort. I have heard that phrase used about 700 times in the last two weeks.
Slan go foill!
Bye for now!
