Beauty Wishlist | Pale and Interesting

My favourite pastime has become discussing with my friend all of the makeup I really want but cannot afford. It had become a popular topic among bloggers at the moment to write about their beauty wish list. That is why I've decided to hop on the band wagon and add my own contribution.

In this post, I will share a few of the many makeup products I've been listing after recently.

Morphe Palette
This beautiful collection of oranges and other warm shades makes me weak at the knees. Especially since I declared burnt orange to be my new favourite colour. These shades would look so good on blue eyes. Pity it's always sold out!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
From photos I've seen, this foundation is my soulmate. I need it ASAP (of only for the hefty price tag. The shade names are  beautiful, as is the packaging.

INGLOT Pigments
Inglot is a new brand to me but is already a favourite. I've decided that I'm finished with regular bog-standard shimmery eyeshadows - I'm ready to upgrade to pigments. Having weighed up the possibilities I have decided that Inglot pigments are the way to go about things.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders
For months I've envied anyone in possession of an hourglass Powder. I'm sure anyone who has seen the swatches would. They are so beautiful but oh so expensive! If I won the lotto these would be at the top of my list!

Now that you've seen my high-end wishlist, feel free to let me know what's at the top of your list!

Thanks for reading!

Three Product Makeup Look | Collab with Signed With A Smile

I'm the kinda girl that likes to go all in for her makeup. I mean contour, blush, highlight... the whole works each day. That's why I was really intrigued by Rhia's suggestion for a collaboration post.

If you don't read Signed With A Smile (Rhia's blog) I strongly urge you to head over and have a gander! You can find Rhia's post here.

She suggested that we would challenge each other to create a full makeup look using only three products. So, I sat down with a cup of tea and a notepad and deliberated which three products I would use.

In the end I was very pleased with outcome!

I decided to choose foundation as one of my three products as, although I don't have spots that I need to cover up, I do have a heck of a lot of redness.

Using a RealTechniques Expert Face Sponge, I applied this to my face and neck. I used my finger to concentrate a small amount under my eyes to conceal dark circles.

Here's where things got creative. I needed a product that I could use for three or four purposes and I'm glad to say I found one!

Using MAC's ProLongwear Blush in the shade Breath of Plum, I filled in my eyebrows with an small angled brush. It may sound crazy but, filling them in lightly, it looked very natural. If you have blonde hair or sparse eyebrows this step might not be for you but I only needed something to thicken them up and it looked great.

I then used the same blush for, the obvious use of, warming up my cheeks by applying it to the apples.

I decided then to take Breath of Plum through my crease with an Essence Eye Brush. I blended it out and then concentrated it on the outer V of my eye with a denser, domed brush. It created a simple but pretty effect.

Then, picking up some blush on my ring finger I applied it to my lips in dabbing motions. This just gave a tint to the lips that lasted surprisingly long.

My third and final choice was Soap & Glory's Thick and Fast mascara. I couldn't bare the thought of finishing the look without mascara as it would make my eyes look like beady little marbles.

I took another angled eye brush and collected some of the mascara on it. I used it to line my upper lash line. This step turned out a lot better than I was expecting and I got comments on my Instagram post saying "What eyeliner are you wearing?".

I finally curled my lashes and applied a thick layer of mascara.

I really enjoyed creating and writing this post as it was a real challenge! I encourage all of my blogging friends to attempt this as it was great craic! It goes to show that you don't need a huge makeup collection to create a day-to-day look.

Thanks for reading and make sure to check out Rhia's post!
